Non-profit research and education organization dedicated to understanding the culture of indigenous people and nations. Includes the Fourth World Documentation Project. This project, organized by the CWIS in 1992, makes documents of importance to indigenous people available to tribal governments, researchers and organizations. Over 400 documents on Fourth World nations, covering the Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe, Melanesia and the Pacific, are included in the archive. There are also links to other Indigenous resources such as governmental and NGO contacts.
