What Kind of Source is This?

In order to use the correct MLA citation, you need to identify the type of source you're using. Each type of source has different identifying clues; we'll look at some of these in the following examples.

In the examples below, try to identify the type of source using the resources on the MLA Style tab and then Identify which citation format (closest match) you would use on the "Citing Sources Using MLA 8th" handout (blue).
