Welcome to the world of OER!

There are so many OER out there! So where do you begin? Here are a few places to start your search:

Consider the repositories and other resources listed below as jumping-off points. You may find more specific resources on an OER by Subject/Department page, or by talking with other instructors in your department who have used OER. We also encourage you to reach out to your department's librarian liaison and the OER Steering Committee (email: oercommittee@clark.edu) for support!

This list includes videos and multimedia available through the library, as well as materials available on the open web. Please note that while some repositories listed below contain public domain or Creative Commons-licensed videos, many include videos that are free to watch online, but not published with an open license.

Find OER in the Clark College Library Catalog

  1. Use the Advanced Search
  2. In the first search box, type "open textbook library" (include the quotation marks)
  3. If you want, include a subject in the second box (economics, sociology, etc.)
  4. Hit search (note that OER may show up as eBooks, Journals, Websites, or other resource types)
